From FoxNews.com: Palin Media Blackout Continues
It has been widely reported that Sarah Palin has yet to give a news conference or even answer a few questions from the traveling press that follow her from city to city on her plane. But, today the Palin camp went to new lengths to control the media, which is covering the GOP Vice-Presidential nominee.
…
It is traditional for the press traveling with a candidate to have some relationship with the candidate and special access because of all the hours logged on the plane and on the campaign trail. But, Palin still has not come back to answer any questions or talk to her press corps. The only time the press has met the Alaska governor is on her first solo flight three weeks ago and it was off the record. We shook hands with Palin and she was quickly ushered back to the front of the plane behind a gray curtain where she has remained for the three and a half weeks she has been a candidate.
It seems like Palin’s just like a collector’s Barbie doll, left in a box to look pretty and not to be played with. McCain’s obviously keeping her away from the media because he’s afraid that in a non-controlled situation, she’s going to say something stupid.

I can’t see why everyone is calling palin Barbie. She doesn’t look like barbie.
CB – it’s a derogatory way of referring to her as either a figurehead that really has no thought or is plastic. Probably because she was a former beauty queen and is a woman.
…or because they won’t let her talk to the media.
That could be because the media has been biased as of late…regardless of what she says, it could be twisted.
Ahmadinejad gives more press conferences than Palin. She is under lock and key while McCain looks like Capt Bligh, delusional and seeing treason all around.
I meant Capt Queeg in the comment above.
Biased or not, the American people have a right to hear from someone who could, gasp, potentially be running the country one day.
That said, I don’t really understand how the media is being biased. Poking fun at her lack of foreign policy credentials? She just got a passport last year. I am a regular citizen and have more foreign policy experience. Her “absolute dedication to the mission” is so refreshing, such a change of pace from the Bush administration…or not.
It’s also cute how she won’t cooperate with an investigation unless it’s run by people she has appointed or has the power to fire.
