NYTimes.com: More States Allowing Guns in Bars
When you watch Westerns, some of the best parts are the saloon shootouts with the bartender diving down to grab his rifle while bottles and glasses are exploding behind him.
Soon these scenes might be coming to a bar near you.

Personally I KNOW alcohol and guns don’t mix. It is the individual’s right to carry a firearm for personal protection, but it is also his/her responsibility to maintain a state of mental awareness that is sober, intelligent and unemotional. If I ran a bar, I think I’d require patrons to check their firearms at the door. Anyone who is drunk and/or fighting would have to pick up the gun from the police 24 hours later. But, that’s just me.
